MICRONEEDLING: REWRITE YOUR SKIN HISTORY.
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy is an advanced, minimally invasive, transformative treatment. Very fine needles glide over and puncture the skin creating controlled micro-injuries that initiate the skin’s natural process of repair which prompts an increased production of collagen and elastin (as we age this decreases significantly). This chain of events results in increased skin firmness (collagen) and elasticity (elastin), reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, scarring, pore size, pigmentation concerns and overall skin renewal. We use the most advanced microneedling device available called the Dp4™. While gliding over the skin the Dp4™ creates 1,920 micro-channels that can carry up to 80% more topical nutrients deeper into the skin to further enhance results. A high concentration of hyaluronic acid is applied to the skin to act as a glide as well as infusion into the skin. Quench also offers custom Meso Glide to enhance results for specific concerns such as pigmentation, dryness and congestion.
Sterile, single use needle cartridge is used for each treatment.
There are certain health conditions and concerns that may not make microneedling the best choice for some people. We will go over all requirements prior to treatment. Your comfort and safety is of utmost importance.
This is something that varies depending on one's individual pain tolerance. Overall microneedling is well tolerated and any discomfort is generally short lived. At Quench we apply a numbing cream (unless it is contraindicated or you would prefer not to have it- which some do) before treatment to make the experience as comfortable as possible. You will love the results!
Generally there is no downtime. You may experience facial redness and tightness for 12-48 hours post treatment. You will be provided with after care instructions and nourishing products to help with healing and hydration.
Often a difference can be noticed in as little as one treatment. The number of treatments recommended varies depending on the skin concern being addressed- general guidelines are 3-6 treatments 4-6 weeks apart.
**Please note: Completing the FULL treatment schedule at the recommended intervals is encouraged for optimal results.

FAQs
Yes, 2-3 days before your appointment. It is optimal to have 2-3mm stubs of hair visible but no longer.
- When on Accutane (must wait at least 6 mo. from last dose)
- Other photosensitizing medication
- If using topical Retin-A (should not apply for 2 weeks)

- Unidentified skin conditions
- If you have healed poorly to other laser treatment
- If you have a tendency for the Herpes Simplex virus (should take an antiviral before treatment as the laser can activate the virus)
This can vary depending on skin and hair color as well as the area being treated. General guideline 4-8 sessions with treatment intervals 4-8 weeks apart. For instance, upper lip usually every 4 weeks and legs every 6-8 weeks. For optimal results the hair needs to be in the correct phase of the hair growth cycle. We will go over what to expect before treatment.
**Please note: Light based hair removal is not effective on blonde or grey hair as the primary target is melanin which gray and blonde is low in.

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive physical exfoliation using a sterile single use surgical blade. Following a double cleanse, a non-comedogenic nourishing beauty oil is applied. This facial procedure will smooth, get rid of dead skin cells and remove various hair (Peach Fuzz) giving your skin an instant glow. A calming, hydrating mask will be applied following the exfoliation as your skin will be prepped for deeper product absorption as well as finishing products including sunscreen. Dermaplaning is very safe when performed by a professional. All skin is not created equal, although not typical but possible, minor superficial abrasions can occur.

Peels: Your Skin. REVEALED.
Quench offers chemical peels with alpha hydroxy and beta hydroxy acids with enzymes as well as a natural acid free alternative using algae and spicules from sea sponge called Green Sea Peel. Getting a series of peels for a specific concern or quarterly when the weather changes is great for skin renewal. Peels help by speeding up the process of exfoliating dead skin cells, clearing excess sebum (oil) and debris from pores, lightening hyperpigmentation, healing due to anti-inflammatory properties and better product absorption. *Please note that a Pre-Green Sea Peel appointment and product pick up is required before booking a Green Sea Peel service or series. This appointment will include a thorough consultation, explanation of what to expect, a cleanse and application of a light spicule treatment to acclimate you to the sensation of spicules and prep the skin. No, at the moment we offer No Downtime Chemical peels. A stinging sensation may occur during treatment and immediately after. Some redness may be present but usually subsides quickly.
***It is important to stay out of the sun, keep hydrated and apply moisturizer and SPF daily following peel.

- If using retin-A (Stop at least 7 days prior to treatment)
- Current sunburn

- Severe skin barrier impairment or inflammation

Our peels are on the lighter side so every 2-4 weeks depending on skin concerns. 3-5 treatments are usually needed for optimal results.

Spicules form the exoskeleton of marine sponges and certain types of coral. They have sharp edges that create a micro-channeling effect when massaged into the skin.
As they dissolve they release a polypharmacy of vitamins, minerals, vitamin D and antibiotics which help stimulate collagen, normalize pigment activity and improve cellular health.
* The Green Sea Peel we offer differs from other algae peels with less downtime. A Powder that consists of hydrolyzed sea sponge, algae extract and sea kelp extract is mixed with an Activator with beta glucan and allantoin to hydrate, soothe and heal the skin.
